Eni UK Limited has awarded Scaldis the contract for the engineering, removal, transportation and disposal (EPRD) of six (6) Eni Hewett Platforms in the Southern North Sea of the UK.

The offshore operations are scheduled to take place in 2024, 2025 and 2026 with preparatory works and modules lifts being carried out by the Heavy Lift Vessel Rambiz, and the main lifts being executed by the Heavy Lift Vessel Gulliver.

Scaldis successfully and safely lifted the Eni Hewett platform 48/29C during summer 2025. Rambiz executed the preparation works and transported the Accommodation module in her hooks to the disposal yard. Gulliver similarly sailed the Topside and Jacket across the North Sea for disposal.

The scope included engineering, preparations, removal and disposal of the 48/29B platform.

The execution of the works was divided in 5 phases:

  1. Removal Plan & Removal Engineering (onshore)
  2. Offshore Preparations and modules removal
  3. Topside and Jacket Removals
  4. Seabed Cleaning & Survey
  5. Disposal of all materials
